No Boat? No Problem—Get Out on the Water with VYC!
Looking to spend more time on the water but don’t own a boat? Vallarta Yacht Club makes it easy to enjoy boating, sailing, fishing, snorkeling, and unforgettable adventures on beautiful Banderas Bay.
VYC members enjoy access to the club’s boat fleet, along with our monthly On the Water Series—a year-round lineup of activities designed for members of all experience levels. Whether you are an experienced sailor, interested in learning new boating skills, or simply want to enjoy a relaxing day on the bay, there is something for everyone.
In addition to time on the water, membership at Vallarta Yacht Club offers social events, dining at Picante Grill, new friendships, volunteer opportunities, and the chance to become part of an active and welcoming community.
Vallarta Yacht Club maintains a fleet of more than 30 sailboats, pangas, and RIBs for use by members and the Junior Sailing program. Sailors must demonstrate competency and comply with safety requirements to use the boats. Additional services such as lessons, captains, fishing guides, or photography can be arranged.
As a nonprofit organization, VYC uses boat-use fees to help cover fleet maintenance, equipment, and operating costs, supporting sailing education, youth development, and boating activities on Banderas Bay.
Join the Tradition: Banderas Bay Regatta XXXIII – March 17–21, 2026
For more than three decades, the Banderas Bay Regatta (BBR) has been the centerpiece of the sailing season on Banderas Bay. Blending spirited yacht racing with unforgettable shoreside fun, it has grown into one of Mexico’s premier cruising events. Each year, BBR delivers exhilarating sailing by day and legendary parties by night.
Since the club's founding in 2002, the Vallarta Yacht Club’s vision has been to be a "world-class yacht club known for its service to members and contributions to yachting and the Banderas Bay region." Our on-the-water programs live up to that vision, offering everything from fun boating days and beach trips to sailing rallies and serious competitions for all skill levels.
